What are the 7 steps of research process
A
- Define research problem
- Review of literature
- Formulate hypotheses
- Preparing the research design
- Data collection
- Data analysis
- Interpretation and report writing

Test for relevance
A
- C – currency (When was the information published)
- R – relevance (Does the information relate to your topic or answer your question)
- A - authority (is the author accredited? Use academic resources or fact sheets from accredited sources)
- A – accuracy (Is the information supported by evidence? Is it valid? Do not use blogs as sources)
- P – purpose (What is the purpose of the information? to inform? teach? sell? entertain? persuade?)

Hypothesis
A
An unproven statement or proposition that can be refuted or supported by empirical data.

Probability sampling
A
Probability sampling ensures every unit has a known probability of selection within the target population.

Nonprobability sampling
A
This is dependent on the researcher’s discretion. This is also referred to as judgement sampling.

Report
A
- Introduction: problem identified, objective research questions/hypothesis
- Literature review
- Methodology
- Findings
- Analysis - interpret the result and draw conclusions
- Conclusions - include recommendations if applicable
