What is a summary offense?
Minor criminal offense, no hearing or jury needed 
What is indictable offense?
Severe or particularly serious, criminal offenses, court needed 
What is 1st degree murder
Planned out to do it on purpose both actues rea and men’s rea
What is manslaughter?
Homicide, not on purpose, committing unlawful act with only general intent 
What is infanticide
Killing a newborn by his or her mother
What is double doctoring?
Going to multiple doctors to get more drug prescriptions
What is arson?
Intentionally or recklessly, causing damage to property by fire or explosion

TECHNICALLY THE LAWS PASSED BY PROVINCES, TERRITORIES, AND MUNICIPALITIES and are NOT CONSIDERED PART OF CRIMINAL LAW.
What is men’s Rea
Having a guilty mind, when a crime is committed with intent, or knowledge or recklessness. EX) planning on hitting someone.
What is actus reus
A wrongful deed, must be shown that the person committed an act prohibited by law.ex) actually hitting somebody
What are the three levels of assault?
- Assault- threatening or applying intentional force to another person without consent. Ex) punching or verbal threats
2.assault causing bodily harm-threatening to use a weapon or causing bodily harm ex) assaulting someone with a weapon - Aggravated assault-person wounds disfigures, or endangers the life of a victim ex) wounding or scarring a person with a gun
What are the four different impaired driving offenses?
- driving well ability is impaired by alcohol or drugs. 
- having care or control of a motor vehicle when impaired by alcohol or drugs,
- driving well the blood alcohol level is over 80mg in 100ml of blood
- having care or control of the vehicle when blood-alcohol level is over 80
What is second degree murder
In the heat of the moment only actues rea no men’s rea
What is schedule(drugs)
Schedule 1 is the worst and schedule 4 is the least serve.
