Explain the trial process start to finish

A

The child process includes many steps starting with:
Empaneling– the process of selecting 12 jurors
Arraignment-the reading of the charge to the accused, accused will plea, guilty or not
Crown evidence-presents opening statement against accused, then gives evidence on the case, can be direct or circumstantial evidence
Defence evidence-motion for a direct verdict, defence only needs to establish reasonable doubt if accused committed crime or not defence then calls witness
The summation-after each side, presented key arguments, defence presents evidence it makes summation first
Jerry deliberation – Jerry leaves courtroom decides what was true or not. When a verdict has been decided for person present to court. If not, guilty defendant can leave if guilty. Another appearance will happen
Sentencing-sentencing given can determine on victim impact statements there is also four goals when punishing offenders
