Right or power over others. For religious believers, authority could be in the form of a priest, or the teachings from sacred text.

Treating people differently because of their race, gender, religion or class. Religious believers would say it is wrong as everyone is part of a divine creation.

Being treated the same. Many religious believers would say all people are equal in God’s eyes.

The personality and character of an individual. Many religious believers would say that each person has their own identity and is unique because they were created by God.

Withholding someone’s human rights, for example imprisonment without trial. Religious believers believe every human is worthy of human dignity and we should respond to injustice.
(a) Explain what religious believers mean by ‘Prejudice’ (2)
When a person is judged without any evidence. All religious traditions agree that people should treat others as they wish to be treated.
