A

In 1923 hitler founded a newspaper, its headlines contained abuse against Jews and communists, urged those who agreed to join the nazi party

  • protection squads were used to protect nazi speakers
  • this protection squad turned into the SA more commonly known as the ‘brown shirts’

-held people at gunpoint until they agreed to support
-Hitler let kahr, seisser and lossow return home where they reported the uprising

A

-germanys economy was on the verge of collapse so Hitler decided to take advantage

-the nazi party was growing and was strong
-the sa was a huge army of storm troopers

Why did people support the Nazis?

A

-wealthy industrialists supported the party because hitler seemed the best solution against a communist revolution
-many working class liked that the nazis favoured the workers
-The middle class blamed the moderate government for lost savings
-at first women were put off from the traditional role but many saw that nazis we’re best for the country and family’s overall
-farmers liked the nazis promises of security
-the youth were influenced by parents and found the nazis exiting

He was a German ambassador in Washington, he was appointed vice chancellor under hitler. He thought hitler could be dominated

A

He worked as a general under Paul hindenburg, he played a leading role in the removal of papen and in December he became chancellor, in January 1933 he was as forced to resign and then he was murderer on the night of the long knives
