Rhythm worth 2 beats of silence
Tied notes
(difference between TIED/SLURRED notes, they are the same) Two pitches connected by a curved line- these connect pitches are the same pitch/note. played on the piano by combining the rhythm of two pitches- quarter bite tied to quarter note is played for the same length as a half note

Three beats in a measure (top number)/ Quarter note is worth one beat (bottom number)
Dotted half note
Half note with a dot after it - worth three beats of sound
Pick up note/anacrusis-
Note/Notes that occur before the first full measure. The last measure of the piece is shortened EX) 1 quarter note pick up, last measure will have one less quarter note.
