A

1. follow iliac crest to L4, down 1 level to L5
2. Follow iliac crest to PSIS, to S2, then up to L5
3. Confirm with pelvic tilt
4. Move up to SP of L3 (1 up)
5. Move out 1 1/2 fingers away from SP

A

Patient position: prone
1. follow iliac crest to L4, down 1 level to L5
2. Follow iliac crest to PSIS, to S2, then up to L5
3. Confirm with pelvic tilt
4. Move up to L3 (more superior segment)
5. Move into lamina groove (out 1 finger)

2. Follow iliac crest to PSIS, to S2, then up to L5

1. Follow iliac crest to PSIS
2. use thenar/hypothenar of inferior hand to contact PSIS
3. reinforce with superior hand, spring into joint P-A, I-S, M-L

Lumbo sacral joint/junction

A

1. follow iliac crest to PSIS, to S2
2. use calcaneal contact of inferior hand to contact sacral base, fingers point superior
3. reinforce with superior hand, spring into joint P-A
do not need to confirm L5
