How has vegetation adapted to the climate of the tropical rainforest?
Many different plants have adapted with the tropical rainforest. For example the epiphyte plant has moved up trees to reach sunlight quickly and without competition. Another example are dark large leaves at the forest floor, they have higher levels of chlorophyll because they have developed to have larger leaves so they can absorb more light.
What is the value of the rainforest to the world each year?
$5 trillion
What are the most significant causes of deforestation?
Cattle ranching, palm oil plantations and mining for natural resources.
