Endocrine System
Causes puberty; produces hormones to control different body functions. Major organ: pancreas.
Excretory System
Rids the body of waste. Major organ: kidneys.
Integumentary System
Protects the body from infection, cools the body. Major organ: skin.
Muscular System
Allows for movement. Major organ: muscles.
Nervous System
Controls the body’s functions Major organ: brain.
Reproductive System
Allows the body to reproduce. Major organ: testes/ovaries.
Respiratory System
Exchanges CO2 and O2 with the environment. (Breathing). Major organ: lungs.
Skeletal System
Provides structure and protects vital organs. Major organ: bones.
Chemical Change
A substance’s composition is changed (rusting, burning, etc.)
Physical Change
The physical properties of a substance is changed (change of shape, size, phase, etc.)
