Pressure groups

Major parties
A political party with the ability to win the house of representatives by a majority in their own right or in the form of a coalition
Minor Parties
A political party capable of winning seats in parliament, but not capable of forming government in its own right.
Independants
A member of parliament who is not a member of a political party.
Compulsory voting
requires all eligible citizens to vote. they are required to attend a electoral polling place on election day

Ranked voting methods, all election methods that involve ranking candidates in order of preference
proportional representation
the term which describes a group of electoral systems used to elect candidates in multi-member electorates.

who the party places on the voting ticket and which order it will be in

a voting system designed to achieve proportional representation through ranked voting in multi-seat organisations or constituencies
