President of the U.S. Was a newspaper piubliser from Marion Ohio. 29th president
Calvin Coolidge
Becomes president after Harding dies. Quotable but quiet, economic boost under his presidency
Herbert Hoover
Was in charge of the FTC and this was set him up to become president. Served as secretary of commercence. Supported reducing taxes on businesses
Charles Evan Hughes
Secretary of State under Harding and Coolidge. He organized the Washington naval conference
Andrew Mellon
Secretary of treasury. Longest serving, 12 years and pushes for provisioned policies
Teapot Dome scandal/Albert Fall
Was the secretary of the interior, he illegally released oil reserves to oil typhoons. He took bribes which was illegal
Harry Daugherty
Tod on Albert fall, attorney general. He told on him cause he was not included in on it. He took bribes and was later fired by Coolidge
Buyig on Margin
Buys stock, an individual could pay as low as 10% and can pay the rest off to a stock broker

Scopes trail
In 1925, the butler act made it illegal to teach the theory of evolution. A subsutite bio teacher John scopes agreed to break the law and was found guilty. Became a trail over religion and science.
National Origins Act
States a # of people who can immigrate to the U.S. In 1924. Sought to keep out immigrants.
2 Italian immigrants who killed 2 men in cold blood and stole $15,000 were found guilty and sentenced to death in the electric chair.
