quarter rest
a musical rest equal in time to a quarter note.
4/4 time signature
Four beats per measure (top number), quarter note is worth one beat. (Bottom Number)
Melodic intervals
the distance between pitches that’s are sounded one after another.
Harmonic intervals
Two pitches of an interval are played independently unison. (Two pitches are the same pitch) 3rd, 4th , 5th , 6th , 7th

a keyboard musical instrument having wire strings that sound when struck by felt-covered hammers operated from a keyboard.

played or sung with medium loudness. used as a direction in music.

Tied notes
Two pitches connected by a curved line-these connected pitches are the same pitch/note! Played on the piano by combining the rhythm of two pitches- quarter note tied to a quarter is played for the same length of time.

Three beats in a measure (Top number)/ Quarter note is worth one beat Bottom number
Dotted half note
Half note with a dot after it- worth three beats of sound.
Pick up note/anacrusis Notes/notes that occur before the first full measure. The last measure of the piece is shortened by that number of beats in the pick-up measure
