Give (someone) a call

give her a call” is a correct and usable phrase in written English. You can use it when you want to direct someone to contact someone else, either by telephone or some other method. For example, you could say, “I think you should give her a call and ask her opinion on the matter.” “Oh, maybe I’ll give her a call.

Recive a phone call

English telephone conversations almost always start in the same way – by introducing yourself. Say “Hello, this is (name)” to let people know who you are. If you answer the phone and the caller doesn’t give his name, you can say “May I ask who’s calling, please?”
