What are smooth muscles?
Smooth muscles are in the walls of blood vessels, stomach and intestines. These muscles help with digestion and getting rid of body toxins. They work involuntarily and are not striated.
What are cardiac muscles?
Cardiac muscle are the thick middle layer of the heart and are responsible for pumping blood to the rest of the body. They work involuntarily.
What are skeletal muscles?
Skeletal muscles are found throughout the body and are attached to bones through tendons. These muscles help with movement sustaining body posture, and maintaining body temperature. They are the only type of muscle that works voluntarily.
