Ada Lovelace (1815-1852)
English mathematician and writer who worked on a general purpose computer “The Analytical Engine”.
Recognizing its potential, she became one of the first computer programmers and published the first algorithm.

1981: Xerox Star - the first to incorporate a lot of tech that is now standard in personal computers, using the desktop metaphor
1995: Apple v Microsoft - A copyright infringement lawsuit. Apple wanted to stop MS and HP from using similar visual graphical user interface elements

1952: OXO by A S Douglas - Another Tic Tac Toe game, but first to display visuals on an electronic screen rather than light bulbs
