Unit 1 Voc-Experimental Design Flashcards
What is a testable question.
A hypothesis that whether to see if there is a possbility of choosing whether it is true or false based on the experiment.
What is a non-testable question.
A question of a hypothesis or claim that cannot be tested.
Define quantitative
A measure of quantity or a value of something.
Define qualitative
The measuring of a quality of something else than its quantity.
Define trials
A test of a experiment or idea.
Define observation
A process of watching something or someone very careful to get information.
Define empirical evidence
Information that is gathered from an observation or experimentation that might help a scientific theory.
Define data
Information and details that is collected from either a reference or analysis.
Define model in science
It is a portrayal of a real world phenomena.
Define analogy
A correspondence of a function and surface that resembles a structures that are from different origins.
Define prototype
It is a sample from a original model in which it covers a base for upcoming designs.
Define hypothesis
A theory, idea,or explanation that can be tested through study or experimentation.
Define variable
Anything that is able to change within a experiment.
Define procedure
A list that goes step by step of things, materials, and methods you would have to do in a experiment.
Define precision
A close measuremnts of an item next to each other.
Define accuracy
The condition of being correct or precise.
Define scientific method
It is a method or process of without bias of establishing facts thoughtout testings and experimentation.
Define control
It is a element that doesn’t change or affect by other factors.
