A

To become a citizen of naturalization in America, you must:

  1. be 18 years or older
  2. be a legal resident in the U.S. for at least three to five years
  3. be able to speak, read, and write in the English language
  4. pass a naturalization test which demonstrates your knowledge of American history and principles
  5. be of good moral character
  6. swear loyalty to the U.S. by taking the Oath of Allegiance at a naturalization ceremony
