How are two ways someone can become a citizen of the United States?
A
To become a citizen of the U.S., you must either be born in the U.S. or become naturalized.

How would someone become a citizen through naturalization?
A
To become a citizen of naturalization in America, you must:
- be 18 years or older
- be a legal resident in the U.S. for at least three to five years
- be able to speak, read, and write in the English language
- pass a naturalization test which demonstrates your knowledge of American history and principles
- be of good moral character
- swear loyalty to the U.S. by taking the Oath of Allegiance at a naturalization ceremony
