A Ropsoldier who held a bridge all alone against an army. The Romans cut down the bridge with him on it, but he managed off the falling bridge and swim to safety.
Horatius Cocles
The last queen of Egypt, originally she was allied with Julius Caesar but after his death, she allied with Marc Antony, the enemy of Augustus.
Cleopatra
A hostage given to an enemy general. After managing to escape with other hostages, she returned to the enemy camp voluntarily, as she had given her word that she would be a good hostage.
