Define citizenship
This refers to full membership in a community, including politician rights and obligations.
Explain 3 situations witch describes who is entitled to Canadian citizenship,
-All persons born in Canada.
-All persons born abroad to Canadian parents.
-All persons permanently residing in Canada for at least 3 years to fulfill certain conditions.

Define right
A right is something that is guaranteed by law. However all rights have limits. This is because rights are balanced with responsibilities. The responsibility is to be well informed when taking part in the election process.
Define freedom
As Canadians, we enjoy basic freedoms, such as freedom of thought, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of peaceful assembly.
Provide four fundamental freedoms contained within the charter of rights and freedoms.
-Freedom of conscience and religion.
-Freedom of peaceful assembly.
-Freedom of association.
-Freedom of thought, belief, opinion, and expression, including freedom of the press and other media communication.

Democratic right-Every citizen of Canada has the right to vote in an election of members of the House of Commons or a legislative assembly and to be qualified for membership.

Every citizen of Canada has the right to enter, remain in and leave Canada. Right to move and gain livelihood.

Everyone has the right to be secure under unreasonable search or seizure.
- 1 equality right
Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit to the law without discrimination and in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability.

A constitution is the formal document that describes how decision-marking in a community will take place.

It defines how a government will work and describes how powers will be distributed between different levels of government.
What does democracy mean? What does it mean in Greek?
Democracy means a system of government by the whole population or all the elegible members of a state, typically through elected representatives. The word democracy comes from 2 Greek words that mean people(demos) and rule(kratos.)

What does representative democracy mean?
A type of democracy where elected persons represent a group of people.
