Superlatives - the best, the most
Noun followed by のなかで followed by another noun and がいちばん the いちばんexpresses the superlative
スポーツ(のなか)でサッカーがいちばん人気があります。
Soccer is the most popular of all sports. のなか means among. It can be omitted.
Q:スポーシ(のなか)で何がいちばんすきですか。
A:サッカーがいちばんすきです。
Q: what sport do you like the most?
A: I like soccer best.
Q:サッカーとテニスとゴルフ(のなか)でどれがいちばんすきですか。
A:サッカーがいちばんすきです。
Q: which (sport) among soccer, tennis, and golf do you like the best?
A: I like soccer best.
