Prose
Normal writing . Not poetry.
Sort stories
Follows a plot.
Fewer conflicts and fewer characters than a novel.
Novel
Follows a plot, many characters and more involved conflicts.
Everything’s more developed.
Point of view
Perspective from which the story is told.
First person point of view
I and me and the narrator is in the story.
Second person point of view
The author is talking to the reader.
Third person point of view
“He , she , they “ when the narrator is just telling about a character.
Omniscient 3rd person p.o.v.
Knows everything.
Limited 3rd person p.o.v.
Knows limited information.
Protagonist
Main character . Person dealing with the complicit .
Antagonist
Antagonizes the protagonist .
Setting
Place. Time.
Social contexts.
Mood
Atmosphere or emotional sense.
