Name an example of a Read-Type Face and explain how it helps someone with special needs?
Verdana-Helps people with special need by using a sans-serif typeface so they can read it at any side, uses Bold font to make it clear to read.
Lexia Readable-Can benefit people with dyslexia as it has a font that is only readable to people with dyslexia, the fonts are to fit the capabilities of the eyes of dyslexic people.
Describe the use of a screen reader?
A screen reader speaks/tells the blind person the resource or text they want to read.
What are eportfolios and how are they used?
An electronic portfolio is a collection of electronic evidence assembled and managed by a user, usually on the Web. Such electronic evidence may include input text, electronic files, images, multimedia, blog entries, and hyperlinks, they can allow collaboration between people carrying out group tasks.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of WiKiS?

What is Word Processing and how is it used?

What are spreadsheets and how are they used?
An electronic document in which data is arranged in the rows and columns of a grid and can be manipulated and used in calculations. They allow manipulation of large amounts of data, to sort out calculations and complex data.
What are multimedia presentations and how are they used?
A multimedia presentation differs from a normal presentation in that it contains some form of animation or media. Typically a multimedia presentation contains at least one of the following elements: Video or movie clip. Animation. they allow the user to present text, images, as sets of slides that can happen manually or automatically.
What is audio editing and how is it used?
Audio editing software is software which allows editing and generating of audio data. Audio editing software can be implemented completely or partly as library, as computer application, as Web application or as a loadable kernel module.
What is video editing and how is it used?
Video editing is the process of manipulating and rearranging video shots to create a new work. Editing is usually considered to be one part of the post production process — other post-production tasks include titling, color correction, sound mixing, etc.
What are bitmap graphic editors and how are they used?
Bitmap graphics software applications are known by several names such as raster graphics editors,image editors and paint packages. Editors allow for the editing and manipulation of individual pixels in a bitmap graphic. Most bitmap graphics software applications can also be used to create meta graphics.
What are vector graphics editors and how are they used?
A vector graphics editor is a computer program that allows users to compose and edit vector graphics images interactively on a computer and save them in one of many popular vector graphics formats, such as EPS, PDF, WMF, SVG, or VML.
Name 5 file types and their uses for software?
.doc- This is a word processing document mostly used in Microsoft word.
.zip-This is an archive file that supports data compression.
..mp3- This is a music file used to compress sound and audio files so they can be listened to.
What is cloud working?
Hardware and software demands on the user’s side decrease. The only thing the user’s computer needs to be able to run is the cloud computing system’s interface software, which can be as simple as a Web browser, and the cloud’s network takes care of the rest.

If you want to open a MAC OS X file in Windows, you may need to add the extension to a MAC OS X file name so Windows can recognize it. For example, if you have a Word 6 MAC OS X document named letter that you want to open in Windows, you need to rename the file letter.docx so that Word in Windows will recognize and open the file.
