What are problems related to service delivery change in rural communities?

  • Decreasing access to health-care services due to youth out-migration
  • Many rural communities lack access to family physicians and much loss in these communities come about due to loss of businesses such as grain elevators. The loss of business leads to losses such as: schools shutting down; hospitals closing; and decrease of newcomers into the community.
