Define religion and how does it affect
It has many traditions, practices and belief, it gives people purpose and a sense of belonging
what are the three essential features of religion
supernatural, sacred/holy, eternal question
The supernatural feature
phenomena or entities that cannot be explained by science or reason, ex. gods, spirits, magic
The sacred/holy feature
outside of the ordinary and everyday life, respected.
The eternal question feature
big questions about life that religion answer, eg. what is the meaning of life, what happens after death
