It is the intention of uncovering the human critical methods in life

The process of interpreting scripture for our time, which allows us to make judgements on how to operate our daily lives
Literal Laws:
The laws you use for exegesis so that you understand the passage today the same way they did back then
Allegorical Lens:
What connections can you make between them and now?
Moral Laws:
How does this passage apply to the way I’m living my life
Anagogical Laws:
What does this passage mean about our salvation in heaven?
What is typology?
Events and people in the Old Testament who symbolize or foreshadow events and people in the New Testament
Christophany:
The appearance of Christ in scripture
Sermon on the mount:
Jesus explained the kingdom of heaven on earth in a positive way. Jesus proclaims fulfilment of Moses Torah
What does literalism mean?
Means to interpret the bible literally
What does contextualism mean?
Means to interpret the bible in context and understand the deeper modern meaning
Why is it important to understand genre?
We might mistake the prophet as an idolatry. We need to hear God speaking through the text to understand the genre
What is the divine revelation?
Gods definitive self through communication, which he makes the mystery of his divine plan of salvation
How to religion and science coexist?
Science can be used to help us interpret the bible in the modern day world and explain why certain things evolve
What is the 7 day creation story?
God created the earth in 7 days
What is the science creation story?
The world was created because of the Big Bang
What is the deeper meaning of the Good Samaritan?
