class view

power elite view
a group business, military, labor union, and elected officials controls most decisions(C.Wright Mills in the power elite)
Bureaucratic view
Appointed bureaucrats ultimately run everything ( Max Weber in economy and society)
pluralist view
Representatives of a large number of interest groups are in charge ( David Truman in the governmental process)
Creedal Passion view
Morally impassioned elites drive political change (Samuel Huntington in American politics: The promise of disharmony)
