What’s the proper posture to play piano?
Keep your back straight
Relax your shoulder and place your elbow so that they are at the same level with your hand.
Keep your feet flat on the floor
Give 4 good reasons to play with curved fingers.
It provides a comfortable position
It produces a deeper sound
It allows you to move your fingers
You can play more freely
Give the number of each fingers.
Finger numbers
Thumbs = 1
Index = 2
Middle fingers =3
Ring fingers = 4
Pinky fingers =5
Give the note names for Treble and Bass clef
Treble clef notes: Lines=EGBDF, Spaces = FACE
Bass clef notes: Lines = GBDFA, Spaces =ACEG
What’s a quarter note ?
It’s a musical note that’s worth 4 beats.
What’s an half note?
It’s a musical note that is worth 2 beats
What’s a bar line?
Line that divided the portion into measure
What’s a measure?
It’s a segment of a music
What’s a double bar line?
The double bar line ends a section of a music.
What’s a treble clef?
It’s the place of the high pitches which are played with the right hand.
What’s a whole note?
Bracket/brace
A brace is used to join the staffs and indicates that they’re played simultaneously.
A whole note is a musical note that counts 4 beats.
What’s a bass clef?
It’s the place of the low pitches notes which are play by the left hand.
What’s a grand staff?
It’s the combination of Treble and Bass clef joined by a brace.
What’s a bracket/brace?
A brace is used to join the staffs and indicates that they’re played simultaneously.
