Génesis 2:27 God blew dirt and made Adam showing that humans are divine and how close God is to us

35
Q

The creation account is literally true against

A

World made in 7 days is a metaphor for 7 billion years- leaves space for science to fill the gaps
Could be understood as a story as the first people to disobey god let sin enter the world the forbidden fruit is a metaphor for obedience
Humans can think rationally, they are able to receive and give love, they are able to distinguish between right and wrong, and finally, they can relate to God.

36
Q

The belief in the trinity is the most important belief for

A

One God so we are monotheistic. Said when we recite the creed every Sunday “I only believe In one god. God will save those who trust him
The trinity is important because of each of the roles of the trinity.
The belief is a fundamental belief in the Christian faith due to the nicene creed made in the councils. The church clarified the trinity earlier on

37
Q

The belief in the trinity is the most important against

A

Other monotheistic religons, eg Muslims Jews, belief in a divine omnipotent god. Christianity not as special. These religons do not believe in a trinity
Some catholics focus on modern regions- the trinity does not affect everyday life- more important to follow the bible and Jesus teachings and parables
People may say that the belief in the trinity is confusing as how can 3 persons can be god and many believe it does not affect their faith
