Structural approach to analyzing ethical dilemmas
Evaluate actions against moral principles
Functional approach to analyzing ethical dilemmas
Evaluate consequences based on who is helped or hurt
“Behavior analyst” according to the Code
Those certified or those have submitted applications for certification
“Client” according to the Code
Service recipient, parent/guardian, institutional rep, known beneficiary of services

Be honest, keep commitments, don’t break the law or violate the Code

Provide services in a defined role, avoid jargon, don’t discriminate, & recognize personal issues
