- The state does not enforce any particular religion, not take away the religious freedom of individuals.

Three ways by which India is secular
A
- The Government of India doesn’t interfere in any religion. The Indian state is neither ruled by religious group nor as it supports any one religion.
- A strategy of non interference where they don’t interfere in any religious practices.
- Such a strategy of intervention where they do interface in some of the religious practices in accordance with the constitution to make them balanced. Example allowing Sikh community not to wear a helmet.
