To be marginalized is to be forced to occupy the sides or fringes and thus not be at the center of things.
What is Marginalization?
Marginalization is a situation in which an individual or group of individuals is deprived of certain privileges or are treated as different from others.

Literally- original inhabitants
These are communities who lived and often continue to live in close association with forests. They are also referred as tribal.
