is the process of drawinf conclusions and making inferences based on evidence or principles and it involves logical and critical analysis to solve problems and make positions
reasoning
Involves growing general conclusion based on specific or observations or evidence, it moves from specific to the general, and it used to make predictions or formulate hypothesis
inductive reasoning
Starts with a general principle or premise and derives specific conclusions from it. It follows a top down approach where if the premises are true, the conclusion must also be true.
deductive reasoning
Involves forming the most possible explanation for a set of observations or evidence it is inference to the best explanation and is commonly used in diagnostic and problem-solving contacts
