Where are the frequency generators and what do they do?
On every odd numbered wheel and it sends a message to the spin slide equipment to monitor and correct wheel slide or slip

Air to operate the EP valves in the main equipment case and air to the trip latching lever
What does the compressor gov do?
Monitors MR pressure and starts and stops the air compressor
What does the compressor gov iso cock do?
Isolates the flow of MR air to the compressor gov
What does the control res out isolate?
Flow of comp air from control res to ep valves in main equip and line breaker case
What does the Panto interlock isolate?
MR air to the Panto
What does the aux isolate switch isolate?
1500vdc to the MA and air comp
What does the main switch isolate?
1500vdc to the line breakers and traction motors
Can a driver operate the Panto interlock aux isolate and main switch?
No
What are the cables in between cars?
Two outer - 415vac
Train cable (centre) - 110vdc
Lower cable - 24v cctv and PEI

What does the load comp iso cock do?
Controls flow of air from air sus to main equip case to adjust traction power and rheo braking according to passenger loading
What does the brake unit control?
EP and air brake
What does the control res in isolate?
MR air to the control res
What does the aux res supply air to?
Brake cylinders while air braking
What does the MR delivery isolate?
MR from the MR pipe
What does the MA do?
Takes 1500vdc converts to 415vac and 110vdc
What does the MR do?
Revives stores and cools compressed air
