What weather hazards does the UK experience
Heavy rainfall can cause flooding which can damage homes or drown people e.g. in parts of South Wales it flooded in 2018
Heat waves can cause breathing problems or heat exhaustion which can kill people e.g. 2018 was one of the hottest summers on record with tempearures reaching 35 degrees in kent

Warning systems gave people time to prepare
THe goverment has set up a 20 year plan to limit risk of future flooding. £100 million will be spent on regular dredging of rivers Parrett and Tone
