- Both support greater welfare
- Starmer wants to scrap universal credit with a more generous system
- Democrats want to take agressive steps to increase the availability of affordable housing - Support more investment in education
- Support access to free/affordable education

- Labour are committed to the NHS whereas Democrats would never support a nationalised health service, but instead greater access to healthcare
- Labour are committed to removing private school’s charitable status, whereas Democrats are pro-private education (freedom of speech = freedom of money)
