A core region is somewhere like London, Liverpool, Manchester. They produce high amounts of money for the Uk economy

How many people live in area
Why are poverty levels high in rural areas?
Usally less oppotunites available so no taxes aee needed to be payed
Why is population density higher in the Urban core?
Young adults propoties are more expensive, people cannot afford to move. More oppotunities
What are enterprise zones?
Uk goverment created 55 zones across Uk, they reduce taxes, simpler planning rules and improved inferstructure

The location or land on which a place is built
What is situation?
Location of a place in relation to other places
What is a service?
Inner city areas have higher migration rates, increase demand for services
What is deindustrilisation?
The decline of industry activity in reigon
What is suburbanisation?
People leave inner city for a house inthe outer suburbs
What is Decentralisation?
Movement of people, factories, offices and shops away from the city centre to suburbs and edge of city locations
What is e-commerce?
Growth of online shopping which puts pressure on high street shops
What is gentrification?
Weathier people move into run down areas and regenrate them by imporoving their house
What is the urban sprawl?
Most growth taken place in the rural-urban fridge. Large shopping centrss have been buillt on the edge where land is cheaper
