Native to East Asia and northeastern Europe.

Plant in spring. Lots of sunlight and heavy fertilisation. Start blooming in early autumn. “The flower of November”

EDIBLE
Used for medicinal purposes.
Tea brewed from them similar to chamomile.

Red, pink, yellow or white.

From the Liliaceae family.

Planted in autumn, flower in the spring.
Life span: 2-5 years.
Need lots of sunlight & good drainage.

Tulips are POISONOUS.
- causes skin/mouth irritation, abdominal upset & dizziness.

Foxglove

Family: Plantaginaceae

Grow best in full sun with light afternoon shade. Like moist/well-drained soil with slight acidic PH.

HIGHLY TOXIC to dogs, cats & humans - irregular heart function & death.

Signs of poisoning include stomach upset, small eye pupils, blurred vision, strong slow pulse, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, excessive urination, fatigue, muscle weakness and tremors, stupor, confusion, convulsions, abnormal heartbeats, and death.

Family: Ranunculaceae

Found in: meadows, woodlands, higher altitudes.

Plant: autumn
Bloom: mid-spring to early summer.
Conditions: well drained soil, dappled shade.
Colour: purple, yellow, pink, blue,
Scent: most have none apart from Rocky Mountain columbine (sweet scent).
Life span: short. Two years. Spread through self seeding.

Scent: powerful. Floral green with sweet/spicy notes:

Conditions: moist but never wet.
Lifespan: 3-4 years

TOXIC
Contains oxalic acid in stem, leaves, flowers in small quantities.
Red painful irritated skin. Cause internal burns if ingested.
