UI & Wireframe Flashcards
It considers the overall look and feel of digital product experiences you’re creating, and applies usability and interaction design principles to all product functions and interactive features
User Interface Design (UI)
It is the space where a human interacts with a technology or digital product, often through a screen
UI
These are graphical elements, such as windows, pull-down menus, buttons, scroll bars and icons
Graphical User Interface (GUI)
It is meant for developers who use programming languages, such as Python, Pearl, C, C++, PowerShell and Bash
Command Line Interface
The visual elements let users make selections from various options to get what they need
Menu-driven UI
A touch screen lets users physically interact with many elements of an interface
Touch UI
It receive verbal commands or requests from humans and can respond accordingly
Voice UI
It provides electronic forms with features such as checkboxes that let users submit responses and forms
Form-based UI
It understands natural language and can converse with humans, responding in a humanlike manner
Natural Language UI
It is distinct from a natural user interface, which focuses on creating interactions that don’t require learning an artificial control, such as typing on a keyboard
Natural Language UI
It is concerned with creating usable, interactive interfaces on the smaller screens of smartphones and tablets and improving special features like touch controls
Mobile UI
It ranslate a user’s motions in a 3D space into commands
Gesture-based interfaces
It allows the user to communicate with the product by entering information.
Input Controls
It allows the product to provide information to the user
Informational components
It helps the user find their way through the product
Navigational components
It keeps the user interface organized, grouping similar elements
Containers
It refers to the amount of mental processing power a user needs to use a product
Minimize cognitive load
The first design tool that combined the accessibility of the web with the functionality of a native app
Figma
a browser-based, collaborative user interface design tool that lets users work together to create vibrant and interactive prototypes
Figma
A valuable stage of any web design project
wireframe
It blueprints that illustrate the elements of a web site
Wireframe
It explains the level of detail and functionality that the design has
Design Fidelity
It has the basic elements of the final design, while high fidelity looks as close as possible to the final design
Low Fidelity Design
Why do we use a Wireframe?
Wireframes are a great tool to get your clients to focus on what you want them to think about early in the design process.
