EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN
- Throttles — CLOSE.
- FUEL — OFF.
- Rotor brake — ON.
- APU — OFF (blank).
- Battery — OFF.
APU FIRE
- APU — OFF (blank).
- APU fire PBA — ARM.
- READY/DISCH PBA—DISCHARGE.
- Helicopter — SHUTDOWN.
ENGINE HOT START
- Throttle (affected engine) — CLOSE.
- FUEL PBA (affected engine) — CLOSE.
- START PBA (affected engine) — ENGAGE. Motor until MGT decreases below 145 °C or 2-minute automatic timeout is reached.
ENGINE FIRE ON START (EXTERNAL)
- Throttles — CLOSE.
- START PBAs — OFF (blank).
- FUEL 1 and FUEL 2 PBAs — CLOSE.
- ENG fire PBA (affected engine) — ARM.
- READY/DISCHARGE PBA — DISCHARGE.
DUAL-ENGINE FAILURE DURING TAKEOFF
*1. Autorotation — ACCOMPLISH.
SINGLE-ENGINE FAILURE DURING TAKEOFF
- Controls — ADJUST (to control Nr and establish single–engine flight parameters).
- Stores — JETTISON (as appropriate).
DUAL HYDRAULIC FAILURE
*1. Land Immediately.
ROTOR BRAKE PRESSURIZES IN FLIGHT
*1. Rotor brake handle — STOWED. If warning light remains illuminated and secondary indications exist: *2. HYD 1 PBA — OFF (illuminated). *3. COOLER PBA — HYD 2 (illuminated). *4. Nr — MONITOR.
SCAS HARDOVER
- SCAS — DISENG.
* 2. Aircraft Control – Regain.
Complete Loss of Tail Rotor Thrust/Tail Rotor Components (while at a Hover)
- Throttles — IDLE.
* 2. Autorotation — ACCOMPLISH.
Complete Loss of Tail Rotor Thrust/Tail Rotor Components (while in Forward Flight)
*1. Autorotation — ACCOMPLISH.
Jammed/Fixed Pitch/Loss of Tail Rotor Pitch Control
*1. Use power and airspeed to align the nose.
Dual-Engine Failure — HIGE
*1. Autorotation — ACCOMPLISH.
Dual-Engine Failure — HOGE
*1. Autorotation — ACCOMPLISH.
Dual-Engine Failure In Flight
*1. Autorotation — ACCOMPLISH.
Single-Engine Failure — HIGE
*1. Controls — ADJUST (to control yaw and cushion the landing).
Single-Engine Failure — HOGE
- Controls — ADJUST (to maintain Nr and establish single–engine flight parameters).
- Stores — JETTISON (as appropriate).
Single-Engine Failure In Flight
- Controls — ADJUST (to maintain Nr and establish single–engine flight parameters).
- Stores — JETTISON (as appropriate).
Engine Np Underspeed
- Controls — ADJUST (to maintain Nr and establish single–engine flight parameters).
- Stores — JETTISON (as appropriate).
Engine Ng/Np Overspeed
*1. Controls — ADJUST (to control Nr).
Compressor Stalls
- Controls — ADJUST (to maintain Nr, reduce power, and establish single–engine parameters).
- Stores — JETTISON (as appropriate).
Complete Electrical Failure
*1. Check BATT PBA — ON (blank).
If battery power is not restored:
*2. Land immediately.
Fuselage Fire In Flight
*1. Land immediately.
Dual-Engine Fire In Flight
- Controls — ADJUST (to establish an autorotation).
- Stores — JETTISON (as appropriate).
- Throttles — CLOSE.
- FUEL 1 and FUEL 2 PBAs — CLOSE.
- ENG fire PBAs — ARM.
- READY/DISCH PBA—DISCHARGE.
- Autorotative landing — ACCOMPLISH.
Single-Engine Fire In Flight
- Controls — ADJUST (to establish single-engine parameters).
- Stores — JETTISON (as appropriate).
- Throttle (affected engine) — CLOSE.
- FUEL PBA (affected engine) — CHECK CLOSED.
- ENG fire PBA (affected engine) — ARM.
- READY/DISCH PBA—DISCHARGE.
Electrical Fire
*1. Affected equipment — OFF and CBs pulled.
If fire persists:
*2. INV 1 and INV 2 PBAs — OFF (illuminated).
If fire persists:
*3. GEN 1 and GEN 2 PBAs — OFF (illuminated).
If fire persists:
*4. Land immediately.
Engine-Driven Suction Fuel Pump Failure
*1. XFEED PBA — OPEN (illuminated).
MAIN DRIVESHAFT FAILURE
*1. Autorotation — ACCOMPLISH.
AUTOROTATIVE LANDING
- Controls — ADJUST (to maintain Nr and desired airspeed).
- Stores — JETTISON (as appropriate).
- Throttles — CLOSE.
