Allergy: Levo 750mg daily x5d (NOT for elderly)

1st. Augmentin 875mg PO q12h +Azithro OR Doxy
- OR: Cefuroxime 500mg PO q12h
- OR: Cefpodoxime 200mg PO q12h

(Any above PLUS Azithro OR Doxy)

Question 3

C.A.P - Peds

Answer 3

1st. Amoxicillin 90mg/kg/day (or 45mg/kg/day BID)
2. Augmentin, Cefdinir
- Allergy: Azithro, Clarithro, Bactrim

Question 4

Acute Bronchitis

Answer 4

Prednisone burst 40mg QD x5d

Peds: Decaddron 6mg/kg OR 10mg max (single dose in clinic)

Question 5

Laryngotracheitis (Croup)

Answer 5

+Stridor or Retractions: Racemic epi + monitor 3h in ER

Mild/No Stridor or Retractions: CXR to r/o pneumonia + Decadron

Acute COPD Exacerbation

Answer 6

1. SABA +/- SAMA (Ipratropirum) as duoneb + O2 supp (if sats <88%)
2. +/- Abx if Infxn:
   - Azithro 500mg PO once daily x3d
   - OR: Doxy 100mg PO q12h (or 200mg once daily) x5-7d

Question 7

Acute Asthma Exacerbation

Answer 7

Decadron + Prelone (dosed 1-2mg/kg/day) + Nebs in clinic & home

-Albuterol 90mcg/inhalation, 2 puffs q4h-q6h prn OR up to 4-8 puffs q20min for x3 doses
