What influence did China have on Korea?
Korea had a close relationship with China. They would visit once a while and say “Wow we respect you, your empire is awesome!” Constantly scared of being invaded so they had to be kind.

-civil service exam to staff bureacracy
-confucian principles
-lowered status of women even further than China
What influence did China have on Japan?
Japan adopted traits voluntarily from China. they are isolated by water unlike Korea.

-copied political stuff that China did good

Similar to Korea, they were scared of China and respected them heavily. However, women were respected in Vietnam. They even had a female version of Budha.
