Environmental factors play an important role in shaping psychological development as the influence of these factors are less obvious or significant than others but still remain impactful for the upbringing of a person.

The developmental process in which is automatic and internally programmed.
define genetic predisposition.
An increased likelihood to develop certain traits, including diseases, if certain conditions are met.

The idea that humans are born without developmental predispositions and are shaped by experiences.

Refers to the orderly and sequential development changes which occur in the nervous system and other bodily structures controlled by our genes.
