Mostly reflected but can cause some heating effects

Sun cream should be used to block UV waves from reaching the skin
How do X-rays affect the body?
Cell damage. Should be protected with lead aprons or shields
How do Gamma rays affect the body?
Injected or swallowed and then detected by gamma cameras outside the body
