Revisionist socialism
Classifacation of socialists that belive socialism can be achieved alongside capitalism and private ownership
Fundamentalist socialism
Earliest form of socialism which holds capitalism at a detriment to socialism
Differences between the beliefs of how capitalism should be abolished
Revoloutionary change that destroys capitalism and the state that supports it vs gradual elimination of socialism be done with evoloution within the existing state
Dialectic
Associated with Hegel refers to the clash of ideas and perceptions that will take place within each stages of history which leads to the disappearance of the existing society
Historical materialism
Marx and Engles view of the stages of history that was defined by a clash of economic ideas relating to how society’s resources should be produced and distributed
Class consciousness
By product of capitalism that would be especially pronounced amongst the working class and be an engine to revolution
Democratic centralism
Term and process developed by Lenin, one and only within that party there would an open discussion and the descision reached would embody the will of the people eliminating the need for further debate
