The main feature of catatonic schizophrenia is the individual may become completely immobile for hours at a time, with the patient simply staring blankly

Undifferentiated schizophrenia is a broad category, which includes patients who do not clearly belong within any other category. This is because they show symptoms of schizophrenia but do not fit into the other types

Residual schizophrenia is a category that describes people who have had an episode of schizophrenia in the past 6 months and exhibit some symptoms, these are not strong enough to merit putting them into the other categories
