irrational numbers
numbers that are non-terminating or recurring decimals
e.g. pi, 2pi, pi/15, square root of 2,3,5,8
rational numbers
numbers that are terminating or recurring decimals
(numbers that can be written as a fraction or ratio)
Symbol is Q
e.g. 1.58392, 2.33333….
non-integer rational numbers
terminating decimals (decimals that end e.g. 2.35) and recurring decimals (decimals that repeat e.g. 1.745745745…)

composite numbers
it is a positive integer that has at least one divisor other than 1 and itself

how to divide decimals?
make the denominator a whole number then divide (top also but bottom is priority)
how to multiply decimals?
- multiply normally (w/o decimal point)
- add up the number of decimal places of the numbers
- place decimal point after total number of decimal places
