This section of the Phishing Analysis domain will introduce you to the different types of phishing emails that you are likely to encounter. Whilst most email attacks are trying to do the same thing, like getting a user to download a malicious file or enter their account details into a fake website, there are several ways of trying to do this, and some are more effective than others. We will look at 7 different types of phishing emails, as well as social engineering techniques and what false positives are.
