Episodic memory
Knowing a specific event or group of events. Personal experiences.
May recall the time and place, who was there and how you felt.
Semantic memory
Knowing facts. Knowledge that is shred by lots of people.
Procedural memory:
Memory associated with skills. Acquired through repetition and practice.

Episodic memory is associated with the hippocampus and other parts of the temporal lobe. Semantic memory relies on the temporal lobe. Procedural memory is reliant on the cerebellum.

This is fourth type of memory made by unconscious influences. E,g. if you are looking at something yellow and then are told to name a fruit - you are likely going to say banana.
