A

when one substance breaks down to form to or more simpler substances eg. CuCo3 - CuO + Co2

A

when 2 or more substances combine to form a more complex substance eg. 2 Mg + O2 - 2 MgO

A fuel that reacts with oxygen to produce new substance. (you know it’s combustion when there is oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water)
