Q

Delay door

A

Indicates the BMS sensor on the primary entry door of the alarm account has been triggered. Usually be followed by an number of trap alarms indicating a penetration pattern. This alarm could also mean that a valid user has entered through the main door but failed to disarm using the keypad with the allotted time

Door propped (GAF only)

A

Indicates a valid entry, but the controlled door remained propped open after entry. Make contact with assessing personnel check his or her name status and inform he or she that the door needs to be closed or else this alarm will continue to annunciate. This signal does not require a patrol to be dispatched, as this is not an indication of a BMS sensor violation. This signal will not be reported if the account is in an armed state

Q

AAM DOWN

A

The expansion panel has lost communications capability with the accounts main panel ie cut or loose wire. The access module cannot report again until the situation is corrected. Valid card swipes are permitted since the access module verified the information locally at the alarm account.

Q

Aborted code out

A

Indicates that an account or an account partition arming attempt was made, but was unsuccessful. This is usually caused when the monitoring station at BDOC is in the process of rebooting computers. The account will not arm until the communication between the account and the monitoring station is reestablished.

Q

Aborted code In

A

Indicates that an alarm accounts main panel went through an abort sequence during a system or partition disarming attempt. If the control panel can verify the code, the account will disarm even though it cannot establish communication with the monitoring station. This usually occurs when the monitoring station is being rebooted and may take up a few minutes to occur.

18
Q

Aborted message

A

The control panel made eight dialing attempts and was unable to report an alarm or status message. when the account main panel does not contact the monitoring station, it reports as an aborted message, Identifies the alarm or message that resulted in the abort and reports any current violations. Account panel can store up to 16 aborted alarms and messages. Signal is normally received after an account has reported a communication failure, line interrupt and indicates communication has been restored

19
Q

AC Power Down

A

Will signal be fore an AC power loss. Each account panel is equipped with emergency battery power which engages automatically. This backup feature is to ensure there is no loss of ids coverage. Batteries are rated out for a maximum of 4 hours. If AC power is not restored at the expiration of the 4 hour limit owner/ user personnel must respond and take security for their facility

20
Q

AC Power Up

A

Reported immediately after AC power is restored

21
Q

Battery Problem

A

Indicates that AC power is present, but the backup battery is inoperative. Immediately open an AFTO 781A Work Order. Facility will not arm until the problem is fixed

22
Q

Board failure

A

A warning to the alarm monitor of a possible failure of the alarm or portion of the alarm account. The board failure signal will be followed by the signal of what component or portion of the account is experiencing failure. Of no additional reports, enable the account, wait for the panel up signal and clear the screen.

23
Q

Down panel

A

Indicates that an account panel is powering down itself. Because it lost AC and backup power. The panel cannot report again until AC power restored. Immediately contact the ESS NCO and open AFTO 781A

24
Q

Drop line (communication)

A

Indicates the alarm has transmitted a message and hung up

25
Q

Keypad Down

A

Identifies an inoperative keypad at a facility. Open an AFTO 781A with alarm maintenance

26
Q

Keypad up

A

Displays when a keypad is operation, normally after previously reporting a keypad down message

27
Q

Line interrupt (communication)

A

There has been an unexpected communication interruption at the alarm account panel. The account will refill the monitoring station and the alarm should restore. Caused by momentary telephone glitch. You must perform an enable panel command. If a panel up signal is not received in two minutes and the account is armed, notify owner that they must secure it till situation is corrected. Open an AFTO 791A through the 49th Communications Squadron and contact S5ISE

28
Q

Low battery

A

The alarm account is operating on backup battery power with limited battery life remaining approx 30 mins. Open a work order with Alarm maintenance through the ess office modify account custodian they will to maintain security of the facility and contact S5ISE

29
Q

Option Ram Sumcheck

A

Indicates one of the panels at an alarm account is experiencing memory problems. Contact S5ISE

30
Q

Panel up

A

Indicates communication has been restored at an alarm account

31
Q

Redial (communication)

A

Indicates the alarm account dialed back after previously reporting a line interrupt. The phone line is operating normally now

32
Q

Trouble

A

A wiring trouble condition exists on and alarm point. Card read er doors will indicate a trouble alarm if the door remains open for more than 5 mins.

33
Q

RAD Down

A

Indicates RAD is not communicating with panels. Contact S5ISE

34
Q

Activity Buffer full

A

Indicates that an access module (GAF ONLY) has reached 80% of its capacity. Will send an alarm every 5% increment until the log reaches full capacity and begins its purging sequence. This alarm will prompt the monitoring station computer to automatically upload activity from the account panel

35
Q

Disarm with alarm

A

Signifies an alarm was received and the system coded in using the correct employee pin. View the panel folder to see the name of the individual who accessed the facility. This fault is caused when a user disarms the system or partition after an alarm was activated prior to it being resolved. The alarm prompting the Disarm with Alarm signal should be displayed in the alarm list window. Actions should have already been initiated on the unannounced alarm that prompted this sign. A disarm with alarm signal is not a dispatchable offense

36
Q

Invalid access code

A

Indicates an invalid card swipe or four consecutive invalid access code entries during a disarm attempt. Dispatch if the account is armed

37
Q

Invalid code

A

Indicates two consecutive invalid personal identification number PIN attempts on the keypad

38
Q

False alarm

A

No cause determined. Cause of activation cannot be determined after inspection by the responding patrols or maintenance, the system is operational without adjustment/repair or user personnel will not acknowledge activating the alarm. The alarm must be able to reset and place an entry in SF Botter

39
Q

Malfunction

A

A verified failure of the alarm account, component, or equipment. Log in 781A and list the work order number and if required, the compensatory measures in blotter once Alarm maintenance and/or communication squadron has been notified. Malfunctions: catastrophic failure, major malfunction, partial failure

40
Q

Announced alarm activation

A

Occurs when facility personnel call and make contact with the alarm monitor prior to the alarm being activated. Caller must properly authenticate. Procedure used when a facility area must be accessed which is alarmed alarmed 24 hours per day

41
Q

Alternate monitoring system

A

In the event the primary monitoring station fails, contact S5ISE immediately and implement the catastrophic failure checklist

42
Q

Facility keypad operations

A

Operations completed by the facility custodians for entering, exiting and testing alarms. Information is provided to allow alarm monitors to assist custodians should they have problems with the system

43
Q

PIN entry error

A

Users may enter their pin incorrectly. They can incorrectly enter their pin twice. Repeated errors will lock the user out of the system for two minutes

44
Q

Nuisance alarm

A

Caused by an influence the sensor was designed to detect such as animals or an act of nature but is not related to an intrusion.
