politics
how is the government run?
dictatorship
Ruled by a single political party who has not been elected and may use here in force to maintain control. And a military dictatorship the Army is in control. usually there is little or no attention to public opinion or individual rights. Does not come to power through Family Ties.
totalitarian
Rule by a single political party. Control all aspects of 1 live how and what you should think where you go career individuals have no civil rights. New word term to explain the government or leaders in the 20 Century use of mass media and technology and propaganda makes it possible. Similar to a dictatorship, however, several differences.
monarchy
A blank has a king or queen, who sometimes has absolute power. Power is passed along through family
constitutional monarchy
Form of government established under a constitutional system which places limits on King or Queen’s power. Most constitutional monarchies are combined with some type of representative democracy
parliamentary
This system is led by representatives of the people. Each is chosen as a member of a political party and remains in power as long as their party does. Leader is usually called a prime minister
republic
Led by representatives of the voters each is individually chosen for a set period of time. Latin for public thing
federalism
The division of powers of the government between federal,state and local
theocracy
Form of government where the rules claim to be ruling on behalf of a set or religious ideas or a direct agent of diety
anarchy
Situation where there is no government. This can happen after a Civil War, when a government has been destroyed by a rival group, or a struggle for power
autocracy
One person, usually declared by bloodline or can take power to rule as an autocrat. One person make all of the discussions.
totalitarian
rule by a single party vote for other parties and not allowed citizens are encouraged to vote but only for government chosen candidates
oligarchy/plutocracy
Rule by a small group or elite people with special interest, economics cultural or political
democracy
The government is elected by the people. Everyone who is eligible to vote, which is the majority of the population has a chance to have their say in who runs the government.

governments and many of the major/larger Industries and provide Education, Health and Welfare Services while allowing citizens some economic choices. term associated with socialism is mixed economic
communism
the government owns all businesses and farms and provides its People’s Health Care, education and Welfare. Term associated with communism command economic
